Description

Folio 1. G [George] Bisse to Duke of Newcastle on behalf of Jacob James, a convert to Protestantism who faced consequent dangers, being knocked on the head by a mob at Bristol [Gloucestershire]. A list of converts and proselytes has been drawn up by the clergymen of the parish. Half seal in poor condition. Churchill [Somerset?].
