This series comprises entry books covering a number of aspects of the administration of the royal gardens, parks and other open areas in the care of the Office of Works and its successors.

The records cover the period 1841 to 1973 and include accounts and other financial details for services, goods and staff wages (including policy on sick pay), ledgers containing details relating to the employment of staff (employees' names, pay, working hours, occupations), events, rules, offences committed in the parks (including policy for dealing with offences), bills received and a correspondence log.
