Ravenser Odd was a short-lived island in the mouth of the River Humber. It rose from the sea in the early 13th century and had sunk beneath the waves by 1360.

This second series consists of Ordnance survey files recording change in local government and parliamentary changes in England, Wales and Scotland.
This series commenced with the Local Government Acts of 1972 and 1973 and covers changes up to 2001.
The files are arranged into two types. The first contains copies of all acts, orders,statutory instruments and correspondence with local authorities affecting boundaries. They also contain sketch diagrams showing new and cancelled boundaries and names and titles with grid references. Each of these files has an index at the front which includes a brief outline of changes made to boundaries. The second type of file contains miscellaneous correspondence and papers referring to Ordnance Survey boundary policy. Some of the correspondence and papers are dated before 1972.
