Description

This series comprises the Secretariat minutes of the Joint Intelligence Committee (A) during the period January 1969 to September 1974, following the redesignation of JIC as JIC (A), and thereafter the Secretariat minutes of the Joint Intelligence Committee.

Arrangement

Although the Joint Intelligence Committee (JIC) became the Joint Intelligence Committee (A) (JIC(A)) effective 1 April 1968, the symbol 'JIC(A)(SEC)' was not taken into use on the Secretariat minutes until the beginning of 1969. The reversion of JIC(A) to the JIC designation effective 1 October 1974 was reflected in an immediate readoption of the 'JIC(SEC)' symbol.
