Bill sent to the mayor and aldermen of York by the Common Council all the heads of the trades of the city, containing articles and justifications as to why Ralph Pulleyn and Ralph Simpson [Symson] are unsuitable to serve in the office of aldermen of the city. This document was probably certified in to the Star Chamber as part of the defence paperwork in the case Pulleyn and Simpson v the Mayor, Aldermen and Common Council of York (STAC 2/17/287), brought for refusal to admit those two men to the office of alderman.
