A draft order of Sir Thomas More and other councillors in the Star Chamber on 21 November 22 Henry VIII. Having heard the complaint of the inhabitants of Sudbury in Suffolk against Thomas Barley, barber, the council decreed that Barley was a 'barattor inquietor and trobelor' of his neighbours, and a person of misbehaviour and evil conversation. Between Christmas 1530 and Christmas 1531 he was to leave the town and live over seven miles away. If he was found within Sudbury, then the mayor could place him in the stocks until 'he be content to obey and observe and fulfyll this said decree and ordre in every poynte'.
