Description

Depositions in the case George Whalley, vicar of Carleton in Lincolnshire v John Monson (STAC 2/26/254). Depositions of John Monson, defendant, Anthony Hansard and Christopher Myers. Includes details of burial customs in the parish and various instances of alleged slander against the conduct of the vicar from the previous reign. Myers's deposition is dated 23 October 1 Henry VIII (1509).
