Draft note of the punishment to be applied to Lucas Johnson, a prisoner in Maidstone gaol, for seditious words spoken against the king. He was to be paraded naked on horseback around the town with a paper pinned to his breast recording his felony; was then to be beaten and set in the pillory. A procalmation was then to be made warning all subjects of the punishment for seditious words. He is to suffer the same punishment at the next assizes at Rochester.
