The committee's records passed from the Colonial Office to the Department for Technical Co-operation when it assumed responsibility for payment of pensions of overseas civil servants, and remained in the custody of its successor departments until transfer to the PRO.

Following the ending of the UK-run mandate in Palestine in 1948, a UK trust fund was established to provide for the dependents of those killed or wounded by terrorist action in Palestine. It was administered by this committee, which was run by the Colonial Office.
