Description

Folio 148-149. Petition from Kenneth McFarquhar, tenant, and Donald Ross, mason, at Red Castle, Killiurnan [Killearnan, Ross-shire], and Sheriffdome, [Ross-shire], stating that they were forced to join the [Jacobite] rebels in their operations in Ross and Sutherland, citing the minister of Sutherland, McDonald Fraser as a referee. Note added about the deadly 'feavers and agues' raging in Tilbury Fort [Essex].
