Description

Folios 31-33. Monsieur de la Rochefoucauld-Cousage to [unknown] with list of French officers and servants imprisoned at Exeter and Tavistock [Devon]: the knights of Brunole and of Chateaumorand, the Earl of Durfort and the knight of Oisy, sub-lieutenants; Molliere, writer; De Retz, the knight Decours and De Nieul, wardens of the navy; De Refuge, cadet; Jean Baptiste Fournier, Hervé Lenard, Jean Coquerel de Saint Jean, Pierre Peltier, Nicolas Germain, Francois Giliers, Jacques Maurice, Louis Kyrouel and Francois de Saint Francois, servants; the Earl Dubot, lieutenant; the Earl of Musillac, sub-lieutenant; Hervé le Breton and Jacques Broté, servants. Begs to get passports for them as soon as possible, so that they don't need to wait for a passenger ship. Dated at Exeter. 1747 Dec 4 [NS], 1747 Nov 23 [OS]
