Description

Folio 19. Attorney General [Dudley Ryder] to Newcastle, reporting on two bills of indictment relating to Timothy Tyrrell of Oxford and advising of further affidavits to be taken from witnesses. Enclosures:

Folio 20. Copy of a bill of indictment relating to Timothy Tyrrell of Oxford for uttering 'Down with George, King James forever' in the presence of others. Returned ignoramus by the grand jury at Oxford. Witnessed by: Thomas Dodd; Thomas Nicholls.

Folio 21. Copy of a bill of indictment relating to Timothy Tyrrell of Oxford. Tyrrell and others gathered in the parish of St Michael, Oxford and caused disturbance and damage to the property of John Pennington of Exeter College. Returned ignoramus by the grand jury at Oxford. Witnessed by: Thomas Dodd; Thomas Nicholls.
