Folios 55-56. List of papers taken out of Robert Leith's trunk by Captain Ward of the St Quentin, an armed vessel. List marked N1.

Enclosures:

Folio 57. Printed pass from the Governors of Aberdeen for James Raynay in Ruthven, Cairnie [Aberdeenshire]. Dated 14 June 1746.

Folio 58. A subpoena for James Rayning to appear at the trial of George Abernethy, on the part of the defendant. Dated 18 June 1746.

Folios 59-60. Copy of verses regarding Mr J M [John Murray] on his turning evidence. Begins: 'To all that virtue's holy ties can boast, to truth, to honour, and to manhood lost'. 'London: Printed for J Cooper, 1747'.

Folio 61. Strathmore to [?unknown] denying any suggestion of disloyalty. Dated 20 Dec 1743 at Castle Lyon [Perthshire].

Folios 62-63. J G to Alexander Robinson at Edinburgh, recommending Robert Leith. Wax seal. Dated 28 July 1744 at Methy [?Meathie, Angus].

Folios 64-65. Bernard [?unknown] to [Father Gall Leith or Robert Leith], requiring him to go to Scotland with Thomas Brock to exercise his apostolic functions. Dated 28 Sept 1747 at Ratisbon [Regensburg, Germany].

Folios 66-67. Thomas Brock to Father Gall Leith [Robert Leith] on arranging to meet in Frankfurt before leaving for Scotland. Dated 28 Sept 1747 at Ratisbon.

Folio 68. Envelope addressed to Father Gall with wax seal [Item related to folios 64-66].

Folio 69. E Grant to William Grant in Scotland; upon family business. Dated 9 Oct 1747 at Ef [?Erfurt].

Folio 70. Erhard Grant to Sir William Grant at Douay, congratulating him upon his resolution to 'the holy society'. Dated 9 Oct 1747 at Erford [Erfurt].

Folio 80. Alex [Alexander] Leith to [?unknown]. Asks the favour of visiting Mrs?Erringson to reclaim three guineas which he owes to the witnesses at his trial. Dated 27 Oct 1747 at New [Newgate] Prison [London].

Folio 81. Note from [brother] to Alex [Alexander] Leith expressing his concerns and promising to contact Glenkinde [Glenkindy] and William Grant for their help. Dated 25 June 1746.
