Folio 17. Report. Attorney General, Dudley Ryder to Duke of Newcastle. Following the examinations of Joseph Yates and Thomas Thornhill, and the accusation that Thomas Tibbetts attempted to enlist Joseph Yates for the Pretender [Charles Edward Stewart]. Ryder finds insufficient evidence for conviction but recommends a further examination into Tibbetts character.
