Mentions Lovat's chief 'doer', Hugh Fraser of Gortuleg [Gortaleg]; Thomas Sheridan; Master of Lovat; Cameron of Lochiel; Marquis of Tullibardine; Clunie McPherson; Hay; Musden; Murray; Lord George Murray; Lieutenant General Connor; Lord John Drummond; young Clanronald [Ranald McDonald]; Barrisdale [?Coll MacDonnell/MacDonald]; Ludovic Cameron, who he mentions could not be trusted; Lochgary; Cameron of Callard; Cardinal Fleury; Drummond of Balhaldie; Doctor Cameron; McDonald of?Scotus; David Gray; Farquhar; Bishop McDonald. Discusses Lovat's request for a patent of Duke; events in Rome in 1738 and Paris in 1742; financial details and troop numbers of various Clan heads; and gives names of various people present at meetings.
