Minutes of the Cabinet, attended by: Lord Chancellor [Earl of Hardwicke]; Lord President [Duncan Forbes]; Lord Steward; Duke of Argyle; Duke of Newcastle; with Attorney General [Dudley Ryder] also present. Recommends mercy for seven of eight [Jacobite] rebels: Alexander Kinlock; Charles Kinlock; Adam Hay; Alexander McKenzie; Henry Moir; Robert Moir; and James Stormonth; but not for Charles Oliphant. Agreed to Draft of Warrant concerning the surrender pursuant to the Act [of Attainder] in the case of John Murray of Broughton. Dated at the Lord Chancellor's chambers at the House of Lords.
