John Sharpe to Thomas Ramsden, advising that the Attorney General [Sir Dudley Ryder] was aware of [Jacobite] [John] Murray [of Broughton] being captured by St George's Dragoons, but that his date of capture and presentation before Lord Justice Clerk [Andrew Fletcher, Lord Milton] amounted to 'surrender pursuant to the Act [of Attainder]'. Asks if [Andrew] Stone has explained this to Murray. Also advises the date of execution of the last rebels condemned at St Margaret's Hill [Southwark, Surrey].
