Attorney General [Sir Dudley Ryder] to Duke of Newcastle with the draft of a warrant for appointing a Lord High Steward, to preside over the trial of [Jacobite] Lord Lovat [Simon Fraser], which is an English language version of the warrant drafted for the trial [in 1680] of Viscount Stafford [William Howard]. Enclosure:
1. Folio 60. Draft of warrant for a High Steward of Great Britain to preside over Lovat's impeachment for high treason. Signed by Philip Lord Hardwicke, and dated at the Court of St James [London, Middlesex].
