Folios 63-66. The Case of Francis Buchanan of Arnprior, residing in Leny [Perthshire] and seemingly also at a house 16-20 miles from Glasgow, a [Jacobite] prisoner at Stirling Castle [Stirlingshire] and then Carlisle [Cumberland]. Proved to have been 'in arms', but this evidence insufficient for High Treason. His letters, written to Sir Thomas Sherisden [Sheriden] and the garrison commander at Inversnaith [Inversnaid, Perthshire] Colonel McGrigor [McGregor] declared support [for Jacobite cause], but these were never sent, putting this evidence in the light of the 'famous case of Algernoon [Algernon] Sidney'. Seen at Callander, Perthshire; the public house of 'one Huckson' in Perth [Perthshire]; Glasgow [Lanarkshire] with known rebels Lord Ogilvie and Roy Stuarts; Alloa [Clackmannanshire] and the bridge there.
