Folio 56. Memorial of Nicholas Glasgow [Glascoe], a [Jacobite] prisoner in irons at New Gaol, Southwark [Surrey], to Prince William, Duke of Cumberland, seeking to be treated as a prisoner-of-war under the terms of the cartel [of Frankfurt]. Recalls his 20 years in the French service, his commission in Dillon's regiment, his embarkation to Scotland with Lord John Drummond, and his surrender on 19 April [1746] near Riven in Badenoch [Ruthven, Inverness-shire?].
