Folios 105-106. Jno [John] Sharpe to [Duke of Newcastle] updating him on [Jacobite] trials that day of Adam Hay, gentleman, and Andrew Spruell, writer or attorney of Edinburgh, of Lord Pitsligo's House, and Stonywood's Regiment. Hay found guilty, and Spruell acquitted on proving he'd surrendered in accordance with the Duke [of Cumberland's] Proclamation. Sharpe adds that bills had been found against five rebel prisoners the previous day: Viscount Alexander McKenzie, Charles Oliphan [Olipham], James Stormouth, Henry Moir, and Robert Moir. Trials of Lord McLeod and William Murray due next Saturday when the court meets regarding Kinloch's motion 'in arrest of judgement'. Dated at St Margaret's Hill [Southwark, Surrey].
