John Sharpe to Andrew Stone regarding a letter he has received from Lord Justice Clerk notifying him that he had been informed that McLeod had letters from Lord Lovat upon 'the Pretender's Son' [Charles Edward Stuart] landing. Sharpe states that along with the Attorney General, he thinks the McLeod referred to must be Lord McLeod and requests that Lord McLeod is sent for and examined.
