Folios 100-101. John Sharpe to [Duke of Newcastle] updating him on [Jacobite] trials heard in the cases of Alexander Grant, volunteer in Glengarry's Regiment and George Law, Chaplain to Stonywood's Regiment. Sharpe reports that Grant surrendered on the Duke's Proclamation and he was acquitted without the jury hearing any evidence. Law was acquitted despite evidence he'd preached to the rebels in his meeting house and was with them at Glasgow [Lanarkshire], Perth [Perthshire], and towns they marched through from Aberdeen [Aberdeenshire] to Elgin [Morayshire]. Mentions Captain Moore. Dated at St Margaret's Hill [Southwark, Surrey].
