Memorandum from Colonel James Stuart [Stewart] on behalf of Lady [Anne] Stewart [Stuart], suspected of treason [in the Jacobite cause], widow of Sir James Stewart [Stuart] of Burrow [Borra, Burray, Orkney] who'd recently died in the New Goal in Southwark, London [Surrey]. Requests [Andrew] Stone to press Duke of Newcastle that she may be brought to London and placed in the custody of a messenger, on account of the 'miserable conditions' she has been held in aboard a transporter near Gravesend [Essex], since being brought there by HMS Royal Sovereign
