Christopher Potter to Captain Stratford Ayre [Eyre] on behalf of 'the prisoners in number 13', stating that they were in detention because of 'the maliciousness of some of our neighbours', and asking to be brought to trial in London. Mentions Captain Delapp. One endorsement on letter states that Potter is: 'I believe really innocent' [of Jacobite activities?]. A second endorsement states: 'set down in Captain Eyre's list to be of Richmond Yorkshire'. Dated at Tilbury Fort [Essex].
