Describes being capture by the King's forces, with Lochiel's cook David Fodrigham. Outlines his birth in Midlothian, upbringing, and employment with Lord Arnisboun, Lord Justice Clark, Sir James Dalrimple [Dalrymple] of New Kailly, and the Duke of Argyll.
