Examination of William Fraser, town clerk of Inverness [Inverness-shire], relating to dealings with Lord Lovat at Edinburgh, Inverness [Inverness-shire], and Castle Dounie [Inverness-shire]. Mentions Lovat's writers, Evan Bailey and Alexander Monroe; Lord John Drummond's visit; a prosecution in 'his Lordship's Regality court for murder' in August 1744; [Jacobite] 'colours and tents' painted by Thomas Frazier, a 'baker, cook, and painter'; employment by Lord Loudon to assist the Judge Advocate [David] Bruce in examining rebels in the 'Earse language' [Scottish Gaelic].
