Richard Jack to [Duke of Newcastle] offering to provide him evidence related to the fall of Edinburgh [to Jacobite] rebels in 1745, writing after being urged to provide information by a stranger named Wade who presented himself as the [Duke of Newcastle's] secretary. Jack says he was ruined in Scotland for loyalty to the King. Dated at London.
