Description

Folios 84-85. A statement of the case in favour of Francis Farquharson of Monaltrie [Aberdeenshire], referring to the 'civility and moderation' with which, after the surrender of Inverness Castle [Inverness-shire], he held in confinement the men and officers of Captain Ross and Captain Grant of the Independent Copmanies, mentioning the evidence of Charles Maitland, Captain Grant of the Royal Scotch Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel Innes of Lieutenant General Guise's regiment, ministers of the presbytery of Kincardine, and the moderator and ministers of Alford Presbytery [Aberdeenshire].
