Folios 62-63. Le Comte de [Earl of] Darwentwater [Derwentwater, Charles Radclyffe] to [Duke of Newcastle], seeking to be removed to his old lodgings because, through the 'malicious information' of General [Adam] Williamson, he is now being held in a 'very moist unwholesome place'. Speaks of the distress occasioned by his 'precipitate trial', his capture at sea while heading to Ostend as an officer in the French service, and reflects on the short time allowed him 'to prepare for so great an affair as appearing before almighty God'
