Folios 95-96. Examination of John Farquhar, formerly groom to [John] Murray [of Broughton], recalling a visit, during the Siege of Stirling Castle, of an unidentified man to the quarters, in Bannockburn [Stirlingshire], of 'the Pretender's son' [Charles Edward Stuart]. The visitor brought news from Wales, and Farquhar positively confirms that he was not Sir John Dougless [Douglas], whom he knew from Edinburgh.
