Folios 52-53. Chr [Christopher] Pattenson [Pattinson] to [Duke of Newcastle] on the reprieve of prisoners due to be executed, including James Hay. Also reports that executed prisoners 'behaved well', except for Barnabas Mathew, and that three reprieved prisoners died in prison, namely Henry Clark, James Smith and Lawrence Mercer. Dated at Penrith [Cumberland].
