Folios 41-43. Henry Ibbetson to [Duke of Newcastle] acquainting him that, in the absence of an executioner, prisoners not reprieved had been executed 'with the greatest decency and regularity' by a volunteer, prisoner [Richard Wright]. Mentions orders to fire on any escaping rebels in York [Yorkshire]. Requests the position of postmaster of Bradford [Yorkshire] for his relative John Molyneaux, on the death of Mr Dodgson. Enclosing:
Folio 42. Order to the Constable of Skipton [Yorkshire] for transporting Richard Wright, labourer, to York Castle [Yorkshire] for committal there, following his arrest, at Cracoe [Yorkshire], on the way to enlist in the [Jacobite] army. Charged on the oath of John Vicar and Willie [William] Emmott, both of Skipton. Order signed by W Bawdwen. Dated 21 November 1745.
