Folio 79. Letter from Dun [Duncan] Forbes, Lord President [of the Court of Sessions], to Hamilton Gordon, in support of Andrew Sprules [Spreull], currently indicted for high treason [as a Jacobite]. Forbes confirms that Sprules surrendered himself to his steward, Thomas Stewart, prior to the Battle of Culloden, and then to the custody of government troops. Dated at Leicester Fields, London [Middlesex].
