[Stephen Charles Triboudet] Demainbray to [Jean Baptiste] Le Maire Froment about a related of Froment recently released from prison in Inverness [Inverness-shire] and who has fled to Holland [Netherlands]. Demainbray wants to ask for Lord Justice Clerk's help, a good master and friend. Asks Froment to deliver a letter to the mathematician [Erasmus?] King, Duke's Court, St Martin's Lane, [London, Middlesex], another to Dumoivres [Abraham de Moivre] about electricity, and a third to John Gerard, watch-Maker, Litchfield Street [London, Middlesex]. Asks for news about the London theatres. Mentions the painful transfer from Edinburgh. Dated at Edin [Edinburgh].
