Folios 68-69. Minutes of the Cabinet proposing a bill of absolute attainder against 55 principal persons involved in the [Jacobite] rebellion; report of the Attorney General [Dudley Ryder] and the Solicitor General [William Murray] recommending the release of the Mayor [Joseph Backhouse] and the Town Clerk [John Pearson] of Carlisle [Cumberland]; letter from Sir Edward Blacket [Blackett] transmitting the examination of Daniel Mackenzie, and mentioning the examination of Wyndegate [Robert Windegate, a steward to Mrs Errington at Beaufront, Northumberland]; enquiries of the Mayor of Newcastle [Upon Tyne Cuthbert Smith] into rebelious Keelmen. Dated at Whitehall [London, Middlesex].
