J [John] Scrope to Edward Weston concerning the British share of payments for Dutch artillery used in Flanders [Belgium, France] in 1745 [during the War of Austrian Succession] by order of the Duke of Cumberland, with extracts of letters from Thomas Jones 'comptroller of the Flanders Train', and mentioning the King's warrant for making remittance to [Adriaen] van der Hoop. Enclosing:
Folio 55. Copy of Jones to the Board of Ordnance, certified by Charles Bush, mentioning the level of Dutch support at Antwerp 'the Place of Great Rendezvous for the Great Artillery', Hulst and Sas van Ghent [Netherlands]. Dated 9 April 1746 at London.
Folio 56. Extract of Jones to Mr Trevor, as above, mentioning Colonel Pattison. Dated 19 July 1745 at Antwerp.
Folio 57. Account, for 12 pieces of cannon, totalling 29,358 florins. Certified by Thomas Jones. In French.
