Maddock saw Whitlock, barber-surgeon, in the Bull Head Inn distributing freshly-printed copies of the Pretender's [Charles Edward Stuart's] Declaration when the rebels [Jacobites] were in Manchester [Lancashire]. Also saw Whitlock distributing cockades with Dawson (now in Newgate). Contains physical description of Whitlock. Sworn before Thomas Waite. Dated at City and Liberty of Westminster.
