Folio 73. Sir Thomas Abney to Newcastle. Thanks him for moving 100 prisoners to Lincoln [Lincolnshire], and for warrant to detain prisoners committed for treason. Reports that 'Gaol Distemper rages at Lancaster' [Lancashire]. High Sherriff of York has provided a place for sick prisoners away from the castle, and Abney has advised Sherriff of Lancaster to do likewise. Dated at York [Yorkshire].
