Folios 4-5. Dr J Sterne to [unknown]. Messenger will bring Dr Burton before Duke of Newcastle. Burton intends to make discoveries against people 'concernd in treasonable Practices' if he is offered good terms. 'Drake' is bound by a recognizance to appear at next assizes for spreading rumours that the Duke [of Cumberland] was defeated in Scotland. Warns that Burton may be attacked to prevent him making discoveries.
