Folio 3. Copy. Recruiting orders for Ensigns Arthur Rose and Charles Butter of Colonel Marjoribank's Regiment. They must recruit 13 men from Scotland for the regiment, and recruits must not be Irish, 'papists' [Catholics], or deserters. William Smith, solicitor at the Hague, will provide 50 Holland guilders for each man in Edinburgh. Dated at Bergen op Zoom [Netherlands], 26 March 1746 [NS].
