Folios 49-50. Information of Robert Bell, William Newman and Edmund Jenkinson (or Jinkenson), labourers from Terrinton St Clement, Norfolk. On 5 November 1745 three men approached them along bank of Lynn channel. They asked for names of nearby church steeples, and took measurements and bearings with a 'mathematical instrument'. With physical descriptions of men. They spoke in Scottish accents. Taken before Philip Case, mayor. With note on reverse explaining why information was delayed. Dated at King's Lynn [Norfolk].
