Description

Folios 124-125. R. Texier to [unknown]. Cockayne says Irish officers from regiments in France are in London, near St. James'; they know certain association leaders who were involved in 'inviting over the Chevalier' [Charles Edward Stuart]. Cockayne thinks a list of meeting places might 'spring the game' before he has sufficient proof. In the meantime, he will provide daily reports. Cockayne needs money and clothes to move among clans. Texier will buy his clothes and give him 'pocket money', but needs £50-£60 for this purpose. Same amount will cover cost of bringing over 'the Lady' and Marckel's papers from Paris [France].
