Folios 102-103. Draft. Newcastle to Sir Rowland Winn at Nostell, Yorkshire. Received his letter, dated 6 December [see SP 36/76/2/62], concerning Dr Burton's committal to York Castle for high treason. Dr Stern and three other Justices of the Peace sent information, regarding Burton's 'treasonable Words' spoken during his confinement. Will send remaining examinations to Attorney General [Sir Dudley Ryder], with directions to prosecute Burton. Dated at Whitehall [Middlesex].
