Should assist Colonel Ellison, Adjutant General of the Forces, who is ordered to to survey Sussex coast. French troops and transports gone from Dunkirk [France] to Calais [France] and Boulogne [France]; Might attempt to land in Pevensey Bay [Sussex]. Should consult Ellison about orders for troops raised in Sussex. Carried 'by Col Ellison'. Dated at Whitehall [Middlesex].
