Folios 77-78. John Hook to Abraham Ibbotson of Tortington, near Arundel in Sussex. Went to Pevensey [Sussex] to see Captain Richardson about the militia. Had to replace old muskets; sent for new muskets with bayonets, belts, cartouche boxes and swords. Meeting at Pevensey on 12 December agreed to give each man a new coat. Seal. Dated at Hellingly [Sussex].
