Description

Folio 54. William Wood to Andrew Stone. Received directions from Lords of the Treasury to enquire whether quarantine of ships from the Mediterranean can be lifted. Asking for news concerning health of Messina [Sicily]. Dated at Custom House. Enclosures:

1. Folio 55. Copy. Petition to lift quarantine on trading ships from the Mediterranean, as 'all Suspicion of any Contagion remaining' is gone.
