Folios 102-104. James Erskine to Mr Stone. Enclosing a letter from Joseph Rendall to James Erskine, dated at Newgate, Bristol, 6 December 1745. In this Rendall writes that last Friday he was taken before the lord mayor, whom he gave information about disaffected people, including disloyal members of the corporation. These allegations were denied, and Rendall taken to Newgate on suspicion of perjury. He requests help from Stone. Dated at London.
