Description

Folio 46. List of officers for duty as guards. Formerly enclosed in a letter from duke of Cumberland to duke of Newcastle, dated at Lancaster, 17 December 1745 [SP 36/77/1/175]. Part of a packet of letters found in the portmanteau of duke of Perth. List of officers to relieve the guards at places including Leith, Duddingston and Newhaven. Also with details of the movements to be made by various commanders around the town of Cannongate, including duke of Perth, Lord Ogilvy and duke of Athol.
