Folios 42-43. Robert Morgan to duke of Perth. Formerly enclosed in a letter from duke of Cumberland to duke of Newcastle, dated at Lancaster, 17 December 1745 [SP 36/77/1/175]. Part of a packet of letters found in the portmanteau of duke of Perth. He has left the Isle of Skye and come to Edinburgh to serve Prince Charles [Edward Stewart]. He wishes to serve as a lieutenant in duke of Perth's regiment. With seal. Dated at Edinburgh.
